This semester i really enjoy studying a CFG named The ABC of modern agronomy: basic notions of agronomic management. In first place, this subject is tagged like a CFG because it is a general formation subject. You have to pass 2 of this courses in any career.
I really like this course because i learn a lot about plants. Specifically, i learn about the processes of the plants, how they live and function, how they have offspring, how the genetic acts to create different phenotypes, and how people do selective reproduction with this knowledge. This subject was imparted in FAU campus, but it consider in the activities a small trip to Antumapu campus, in the south part of Santiago. Antumapu it's very huge. There are careers related with plants and animals, like agronomy and veterinary.
When we went there, we visited the blueberry crop fields, some greenhouses dedicated to crop lettuce using a system of fertilization based on fishes and their biological waste. In last place we visited the laboratories of biological engineer, where professionals use different techniques of plant reproduction and genetic management.
